Mugilu is surrounded by these Grasslands Just chill, or walk around.

Food, stay and peace! Your basics are taken care of. The rest, is for you to EXPLORE!

Cottages overlooking a valley, balconies in the cottages you can chill on, a bathroom with a view, fresh home cooked food served in a common dining area surrounded by greenery and a lounge area where you can chill out with a drink or just relax around a campfire. Its a Sakleshpur homestay but designed as a plantation stay. Mugilu is the place to be if you are looking for a break from the mad rush of the city. ‘The Art of Doing Nothing’ is what we believe guests have discovered at Mugilu. However, if you want to take a break from chilling out too, there is enough and more walking you could do. We have a 10 acre plantation with umpteen small paths in it. Walk thru these and observe the creativity of nature around you. Treat your eyes to the colors that nature has to offer in the form of flora and fauna of the Western Ghats. Hike down to a nearby creek. Pass thru paddy fields and/ or veggie gardens to discover your own hilltops for great views or simply walk into abandoned bungalows to feel like a part of a novel. Walk around the unique rolling meadows around our property and discover new tracks. Not just real ones, the ones in your life too. If you are ready to drive, with a lil bit of adventure involved, you can check out the Manjarabad Fort, Bisle view point and the Hemavathy River backwaters. A little bit of a longer drive will take you to the ruins of Shettihalli Church, a French church built in 1860. Belur Halebid and Kukke Subrahmanya Temples too are great sites to check out.
