If you have the energy and the time, you should consider driving around to see some truly wonderful locations in this part of the world. A view of the majestic Western Ghats, an 18th century unique star shaped fort, Coffee tree furniture, Spice shopping, a partially submerged church, the back waters of the Hemavathi, a Tibetan village, a 12th century rare Brahma temple with intricate carvings. These are some of the few noteworthy sites within driving distance from Sakleshpur and Mugilu.
Of course, most of our guests prefer to just chill and enjoy the immediate surroundings. The break from a city life, even for just a couple of days is enjoyed best if you leave the hustle and bustle.

Shettyhalli / Gorur Dam – 90 minutes drive. The ruins of the Holy Rosary Church in Shettyhalli is partially submerged in water. This church was built by the French in 1860.

The back waters are amazingly beautiful and peaceful.
